I need someone to email me regarding my JAD application, it's been submitted over 6 weeks ago. I emailed the address on the page earlier this week and haven't heard from anyone. I know, this is all volunteer and we're all busy. Thanks for your time.

Hello Kathy,

I have copied and sent this message to Sue Espy and Gloria to see if they can help or know who can.

Hello Kathy,

I have not heard from Sue and she is not answering her phone.  This is the time of year some folks including her head for Quartzsite in Arizona on a buying trip.  I have left a message on her phone and another e-mail for her.
So it may still be a while.

I don't recall what an JAD application is, if it is something simple I might be able to help I have access to some parts as I am the Jury Applications clerk.

Gosh, you're right! I forgot about Arizona (since I don't get to go this year). I applied for my website to be included in Jewelry Artist Direct, there's an online application. SOmeone has to evaluate my site and say yes or no. I applied around the 1st of December. I upgraded my membership to business so I could be included. Instructions said to give it 4-6 weeks for approval.

Hello Kathy,

In another e-mail Sue describes all that has been going on and she will try to address your situation soon.  It is on a long list of To Do and some volunteers who have dropped.  Since we are short of volunteers that makes it tougher.

I shall periodically check and if you will too - between the both of us it will get done.  I am not on the committee to oversee JAD.  So we shall have to wait.

Kathy,
I believe there was some problem getting the info out to members. I think they are reviewing now and you should hear something very soon.

I did receive an email, from (??) someone yesterday. I know everyone is busy, and I hope everyone is dry down there in AZ. One of my patients is staying in Parker, she told me is wasn't so bad there. I can imagine Quartzite could be pretty messy if they're getting much rain, and not fun for the shows.

I guess with this weather I don't have to feel so bad about not getting to go to Quartzsite this year!

LOL...she told me it felt alot like home (rain). I suppose there's no reason to go to Arizona to get that, we have plenty of that here! Actually hubby is agate hunting on the beach right now, we're getting a little break in the weather. I am about to teach my first basic wire wrap class so I couldn't go. Time to pack up and get set up...

Email on JAD is from Susan....

Kathy, I'll look into this for you again, and will try to send you another copy of the application if I can.

You've been very patient with this - which is greatly appreciated - and I hope that you can bear with us for a bit longer.

I filled out the app online around 11/30-12/1/2009. I suppose that could be the attachment that I was sent sometime later and couldn't open. Do I need to fill it out again?

Hello Kathy,

We didn't realize the person who volunteered to do this unvolunteered.

You are not forgotten, it is just taking much longer than anticipated.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
